Knicks’ newest point guard hope is here

The worst-kept secret of the week became official Sunday, as the Knicks announced they signed Trey Burke before their game against the Pelicans at the Garden.

After waiving Ramon Sessions on Saturday to create a roster spot, the Knicks inked the former Jazz lottery pick to a deal, the terms of which were not disclosed. The point guard will wear No. 23.

Burke had been playing with G-League Westchester, where he was averaging 26.6 points, 5.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals. The former Michigan teammate of Tim Hardaway Jr. was named the league’s player of the month in December and was held out of this weekend’s showcase in Mississauga, Ontario.
