While we can debate all night whether the Knicks did the right thing in trading Kristaps Porzingis, what’s not debatable is the team’s treatment of Stefan Bondy, the Knicks beat reporter for the Daily News.
It was unacceptable.
The News and the Garden have been feuding for more than a decade, but when the Knicks banned Bondy from participating in team president Steve Mills’ Thursday night press conference to discuss the Porzingis trade, they went too far.
The genesis of the latest feud appears to be a recent News back page calling on owner James Dolan to sell the team.
