It’s safe to say that Mindaugas Kuzminskas was the New York Knicks’ most unexpected signing of 2016. The Lithuanian small forward had hype within the international basketball community, but received minimal attention from NBA pundits.
At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Kuzminskas put on a show that justified Phil Jackson‘s surprising signing.
Kuzminskas, 26, played quality minutes for Lithuania in two of the first three games of group play. He scored eight points in 21 minutes against Brazil and had eight points in 15 minutes against Nigeria.
It was against the veteran squad from Argentina, however, that Kuzminskas established just how brilliant of a player he can be.
