Today at The Athletic, Fred Katz addressed pressing questions ($) about the New York Knicks.
First up: How does the acquisition of Cameron Payne affect the roster? New York recently signed the veteran Payne to a one-year, minimum contract, which provides greater depth at the point guard position. Although many of us fretted that Payne’s presence would push Miles “Deuce” McBride farther down the pecking order, Katz is unconcerned. He still expects the tenacious McBride to remain in the top eight rotation and is recovering well from a toe injury.
According to Katz, Payne’s presence also alleviates pressure on rookie Tyler Kolek.
