SACRAMENTO, Calif. — For three quarters the Knicks played like a team that didn’t care about winning. They were fortunate the team they were playing had that attitude for most of the fourth.
The Knicks came all the way back from 19 down in the fourth to tie the score against the Kings. But Skal Labissiere drilled a three-pointer with 1.6 seconds left to lift Sacramento to a 102-99 victory over the Knicks Sunday night.
Trey Burke’s desperation halfcourt heave hit the side of the rim at the buzzer.
This was another embarrassing loss for the Knicks, who have dropped 12 of their last 13 games.
