The Knicks have taken small solace in the rare individual strides a few emerging players have made this season, but coach David Fizdale still hasn’t been able to make as much headway as he’d hoped in implementing a team concept for a squad sporting the worst record in the NBA.
With an eye on free agency and a likely top-five pick in the draft lottery — potentially the first-overall selection — the Knicks have just four players with fully guaranteed contracts for next season: recently acquired point guard Dennis Smith Jr.
