Knicks linked to Clippers’ Paul George in offseason trade

The New York Knicks are considering a potential trade for Paul George, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

That idea would be contingent on George picking up the player option included in his contract, which would extend it for another year through the 2024–25 season. Once he exercises it, the belief is he’d engineer a trade away from the Los Angeles Clippers, potentially to Manhattan to play for the Knicks in the Garden.

“One team described George to me as ‘the domino who will make it all go when he falls,’” Stein reported on June 23.
