Maurice Ndour, who stood out playing for the Knicks’ summer league entry in Las Vegas earlier this month, agreed to a deal with the Mavericks on Thursday.
Ndour, 23, averaged 9.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in five games in Las Vegas with the Knicks – including a 23-point outing in an overtime win over the 76ers – and impressed observers after going undrafted out of Ohio.
Sources said there was mutual interest with the Knicks, but that the Mavericks had a better offer that was too attractive to pass up.
The 6-foot-9 forward, who measured with a 7-foot-4 wingspan at the Portsmouth Invitational back in April, averaged 16.
