According to an official release on NBA.com, New York Knicks legend Harry Gallatin has passed away. A member of the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame, Gallatin played for the Knicks from 1948 to 1957.
Gallatin was 88 years old.
Over the course of his Knicks career, Gallatin made seven All-Star Game appearances. He led the NBA in rebounds in 1954 and made All-NBA appearances in 1954 and 1955, respectively.
From 1951 to 1953, Gallatin took New York to three consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
