Knicks' Lance Thomas suffers fractured orbital bone

Knicks forward Lance Thomas suffered a fractured orbital bone and has concussion-like symptoms as a result of an inadvertent elbow from Toronto big man Jonas Valanciunas.

Valanciunas hit Thomas with an elbow in the first quarter of the Knicks' 15-point loss to the Raptors on Sunday.

Tests confirmed that he suffered the fractured bone in his face and the concussion symptoms. The results of the tests were announced by the team, which said Thomas will be evaluated further on Monday and will likely miss Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Thomas suffered a concussion last season and was placed in the NBA's concussion-protocol program.
