Mike Miller is in charge — at least for now.
Following the Knicks’ firing of head coach David Fizdale and assistant coach Keith Smart on Friday, Mike Miller was put in charge on an interim basis.
The 55-year-old is in his first season on the Knicks’ coaching staff after four years coaching the Westchester Knicks. During his G-League tenure, he racked up a 108-92 record, winning the Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year Award for his 32-18 mark in 2017-18.
Miller’s coaching career has taken him from heading up the staff at Texas State Eastern Illinois to an assistant at California-Riverside at the NCAA level.
