DALLAS — The Unicorn is back to his old tricks in his new life.
Twenty-one months removed from his final game in a Knicks uniform — in which he tore his left ACL, partly setting in motion his unceremonious departure from New York this past January — Kristaps Porzingis is off and running with the Mavericks.
Now, his first crack at the Knicks awaits.
Porzingis will face his former team for the first time Friday night at American Airlines Center before making his return to the Garden for a showdown next Thursday.
“He’s doing extremely well,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said Wednesday before Porzingis and company played host to the Magic.
