Power forward Maurice Ndour, last year’s summer-league sensation, is coming to Knicks training camp on a guaranteed contract, according to an NBA source.
After becoming a standout in Las Vegas, the rugged 6-foot-9 Ndour was signed by the Mavericks last July, but suffered a left leg injury in training camp and was cut.
The 24-year-old resurfaced with Real Madrid last season, playing 18 games, averaging 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds. The Spanish ACB league has becoming a scouting hotbed for the Knicks in recent years.
Ndour averaged 9.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.0 block, 1.0 steal and 28.
