Off two games with the Knicks, sharpshooter John Jenkins is on the verge of signing a two-year contract for the league minimum, according to a source.
The deal calls for Jenkins to be signed for the rest of this season, and 2019-20 is non-guaranteed but has an early trigger date. Jenkins was signed to a 10-day contract last week and played in two games, including a large role in the Knicks’ streak-busting victory in Atlanta on Thursday.
Jenkins, who has played with four prior NBA teams, scored 21 points in his two Knicks outings, shooting 9-of-18 overall and 3-of-9 from 3.
