For one last time, the New York Knicks will take the court for a preseason game ahead of Wednesday’s season opener against the Atlanta Hawks. For now, they must rematch with the 2018-19 incarnation of the Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Garden.
It’s an experimental day for the Knicks, who will start Ron Baker and Mitchell Robinson at point guard and center, respectively, as ESPN’s Ian Begley noted.
Robinson takes Enes Kanter’s spot, as he will rest for the second consecutive game. It’s a bigger opportunity for Baker, however, as no point guard from Trey Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay and Frank Ntilikina have stepped up to secure the starter’s job.
