Amar’e Stoudemire wants a return to the NBA after three years away. 15 teams attended his comeback workout, so someone may show interest, but the New York Knicks have already counted themselves out.
Per Marc Berman of the New York Post, do not expect a reunion, as the Knicks will not target their former big-name acquisition.
The organization already had one go-around with Stoudemire; he famously signed a five-year, $100 million contract in the summer of 2010, a game-changing offseason for the NBA. LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Joe Johnson, David Lee, Carlos Boozer and others highlighted that class, and the Knicks struck out on James, so they reunited Stoudemire with Mike D’Antoni.
