Kristaps Porzingis did not play Thursday night because of that troubling left Achilles.
Still, the Knicks finally won a game, beating the Bulls, the worst 3-point shooting team in the NBA, 104-89, at the Garden. Derrick Rose (17 points) won back the fans in his first game at the Garden since going AWOL Monday, while rookie Mindaugas Kuzminskas came up with a career-high 19 points off the bench to pick up the slack.
The lesson here is that the Knicks need to be extra careful the rest of the way with Porzingis. They cannot afford their future being struck down by an Achilles injury.
