We have our first Knicks-related elimination at the 2017 EuroBasket tournament. Mindaugas Kuzminskas’s Lithuania team fell to Greece, 77-64, in the round of 16. This result was a shocker—Greece is without their best player in Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Lithuania had the second-best net rating in the tournament during the group stage (big ups to Willy Hernangomez’s No. 1 Spain squad).
Kuz did his best to keep the Lithuanians in the game, scoring a team-high 20 points on 7-12 shooting (5-6 from inside, 2-6 from outside the arc). Kuz was a beast on the inside—as he has been throughout the tournament—dunking on the Greeks left and right.
