When the New York Knicks acquired point guard Dennis Smith Jr. at the end of January from the Dallas Mavericks they not only got a very explosive player on the court, but someone that’s making a difference off of it as well.
Smith, who is from Fayetteville, North Carolina, teamed up with Under Armour to renovate two basketball courts that he grew up playing on as a kid.
Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype tweeted a video of Smith seeing the courts for the first time and interacting with the local community.
Check out the incredible before and after pictures of the courts that are now a part of the new Smith Recreation Center.
