The Knicks recently met with free agent guard Tony Wroten, who could replace Jimmer Fredette if the club elects not to sign Fredette to a second 10-day contract, the Daily News has learned.
Wroten is a 6-foot-6 guard who was waived by the Sixers on Dec. 24th. He was originally selected 25th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2012 NBA draft. Last season, he scored a career-high 31 points in a loss to the Chicago Bulls. Wroten had season-ending right knee surgery last January.
The Knicks interviewed Wroten last weekened in New York. Fredette's 10-day contract expires on Thursday.
