Knicks could look to bolster bench with these cost-effective free agents

The New York Knicks are expected to be big spenders in the 2024 NBA free agency, primarily focusing on giving hefty contracts to OG Anunoby and Isaiah Hartenstein. To bolster their bench, New York could seek out inexpensive role players who are either skilled shooters or rebounding centers. Zach Buckley wrote recently for Bleacher Report about three potential targets: Malik Beasley, De’Anthony, and Dario Šariu0107.

The 27-year-old Malik Beasley has played for five teams in his eight-year career. His last contract with the Bucks was a one-year, $2.7M deal. The veteran could be a bucket off the bench and wouldn’t break the bank, but he plays a turnstile defense that would have Tom Thibodeau chomping Rolaids by the handful.
