The part that’s hardest to get used to, honestly, is the sound the Garden makes at the end of these games. After a lifetime of watching Knicks teams and Rangers teams and even the occasional St. John’s teams get hammered whenever the last parts of games go awry, it’s jarring, really.
Nobody boos. Yet, anyway.
Nobody curses. Yet, anyway.
Perhaps it is the “Groundhog Day” nature these games have come to resemble as they pile up, one on top of the other, this time a 118-114 loss to the Trail Blazers thrown onto the heap of close-but-no-stogies against the Pacers and the Bulls and the Warriors and the Celtics.
