Allonzo Trier has made a name for himself — literally — by being a dangerous isolation player. However, there is a balance between taking advantage of one-on-one play and moving the ball quickly in coach David Fizdale’s system.
Trier struggled with that as a rookie, but the Knicks coach said Trier’s trying to change his ways — and his nickname “IsoZo.’’ That’s also his Twitter handle.
“This year he hasn’t done it,’’ Fizdale said of holding the ball and going in iso mode. “I think he’s [had] two possessions where he had maybe taken multiple dribbles in a possession.
