The Knicks reached agreements with 2015 second-round pick Willy Hernangomez and Lithuanian forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas on Tuesday, sources say.
Hernangomez’s deal was a multiyear contract. Agent Andy Miller said last month that he intended to negotiate a multiyear deal with the Knicks to allow Hernangomez to develop with the Knicks. The specific length of the contract is unclear, but it is at least three years, sources confirm.
ESPN NBA Draft Insider Fran Fraschilla said Hernangomez, 22, is a “banger” and completely different than his brother Juan Hernangomez, a Denver Nuggets first-round pick in 2016.
