Knicks add Michigan St PG, exploit loophole to stash 2 more

The Knicks are bringing in former Michigan State point guard Travis Trice, according to Yahoo Sports.

It’s a partially guaranteed one-year deal, per the report, for the undrafted 22-year-old Trice, who played for the Miami Heat in summer league. He is expected to be assigned to the Knicks’ D-League team.

The Knicks have three point guards on their projected roster: Jose Calderon, rookie Jerian Grant and holdover Langston Galloway.

Trice survived a mysterious illness in the summer of 2012 that led to extreme headaches and weight loss before it was diagnosed as a brain infection.
