When Josh Hart joined the Knicks before the 2023 trade deadline, he was tinkering between becoming a solid role player and league journeyman. New York had become his fourth team in seven years. Prior to joining the Knicks, Hart’s stellar numbers as a role player since joining the league in 2017 always called for him to be the man to round out trade packages, but never enough to just be the man. That all changed with his last trade, which brought him to New York.
