Knick coaching candidates: Thibodeau, Walton, Ewing and more

Now that Derek Fisher has been shown the door at Madison Square Garden, the time for speculation on who will take over the always-hot seat at the end of the Knicks bench has begun.

TOM THIBODEAU
The 58-year-old is the best available coach by a mile. After years as an assistant, including with Jeff Van Gundy’s Knicks, Thibodeau got his first shot with the Bulls in 2010-11, won 62 games and led the team to the conference finals. He was 255-139 in five seasons with Chicago, reaching the playoffs in each season, before he was let go at the end of last year.
