PORTLAND, Ore. — This has been a growing year for Kevin Knox. Literally.
Knicks coach David Fizdale said Knox sometimes has sore knees because the 19-year-old is experiencing growing pains. Knox confirmed doctors have told the 6-foot-9 rookie forward some good news.
“Doctors said I have a half-inch or an inch left in the tank,” Knox said following Sunday’s practice at the NIKE campus ahead of their Monday battle with the Blazers. “You never know — hopefully I have an inch [left]. Maybe 6-10, 6-10½. If not, I’m perfectly fine with where I’m at.”
On Friday, Knox got the win in his first time stepping inside Staples Center, but he never got that LeBron James chat.
