OAKLAND — The first hint Kevin Durant’s Achilles tendon rupture will lead him to stay in Golden State has arrived.
When Klay Thompson was back in the locker room about to receive an MRI exam at Oracle Arena late Thursday, with what was confirmed to be an ACL tear, the Warriors superstar shooting guard received a Facetime call from Kevin Durant, according to ESPN.
Durant was still in New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery following his surgery. Mychal Thompson, Klay’s father and a Lakers broadcaster, overheard some of the conversation.
“I heard them talking,” Mychal told ESPN regarding the conversation.
