Kevin Durant’s next potential foray into free agency is still more than eight months away, but his recruitment to New York already has begun, at least in the form of a billboard outside of Madison Square Garden.
Durant, who is in town with the Warriors to face the Knicks on Friday night, indicated he already was aware of — but not particularly impressed by — the billboard, which implored him to “make NY sports great again.”
“To be honest, I don’t know how to feel about that type of stuff. It’s cool, no disrespect, but I’m not really impressed with that type of stuff,” Durant said after the Warriors practiced Thursday night in Midtown.
