Kevin Durant says he’s happy for Kristaps Porzingis and new Knick DeAndre Jordan, but gave no indication on how the blockbuster could change his future.
The trade opened two max-contract slots for the Knicks, leading to even stronger speculation Durant will come to New York and bring along a star — perhaps point guard Kyrie Irving.
Though Durant got angry at the Knicks speculation less than two weeks ago, he still refused to give any commitment to returning to the Warriors. Golden State teammate Klay Thompson has said he hopes to retire a Warrior, but that’s hardly coming from the mouth of Durant.
