LOS ANGELES -- A federal court jury of six women and two men was selected Wednesday for the trial of a $21 million lawsuit by a woman who claims she was gang-raped by NBA star Derrick Rose and two other men.
Opening statements were expected to begin during the afternoon session. Rose was not present but was expected to be in court Thursday.
Rose commented on the case Tuesday in Houston where he was making his debut with the New York Knicks in an exhibition opener.
"I wanted to take it to court because I didn't want to settle," said Rose, 28.
