Julius Randle’s Knicks struggles are spreading everywhere

An attempt was made to aid a frustrated Julius Randle get more room to operate, but it didn’t work.

Knicks coach David Fizdale yanked center Mitchell Robinson from the starting lineup and inserted perimeter-shooting Bobby Portis for Sunday’s clash with Sacramento at the Garden and it resulted in a bad start and a worse loss in a 113-92 defeat.

Portis was supposed to create space for Randle, but Portis was off — starting the game 0-for-5 and finishing with two points in 20 minutes.

Randle is regressing, scoring just eight points for the second straight game and shooting 4 of 13.
