Julius Randle goes off to end epic New York Knicks drought

Julius Randle went off for the New York Knicks and helped snap a streak more than 180 games long.

In the Knicks' 123-112 win over the Atlanta Hawks, Randle scored 44 points and outdueled Trae Young, who had 23 points. By scoring more than 40 points, Randle broke a streak of 183 games where the Knicks did not have a 40-point scorer. That was the longest active streak in the NBA. The last Knicks player to score 40 or more was Trey Burke against the Charlotte Hornets in March of 2018.
