Julius Randle became eligible for his contract extension last week. Unlike with newly minted captain Jalen Brunson’s extension, where he signed the day that he was eligible, Randle’s might be drawn out. There has been a bunch of commentary on these talks, from ESPN saying that this could cause ripples throughout the league, to Scott Perry saying the Knicks and Randle both would benefit from an extension to Bobby Marks saying Randle should consider taking a three-year, $100 million extension if offered.
