J.R. Smith was no longer crying tears late Sunday night in a Las Vegas nightclub — shirt off, dancing and pouring champagne over a woman wearing a wine-and-gold LeBron James Cavaliers jersey.
A couple of hours earlier at Oakland’s Oracle Arena, before the championship club’s pit stop in Vegas, the ex-Knicks shooting guard was a crying machine, on the court, then in the interview room. Through sobs, he gave an ode to his parents, Earl Sr. and Ida, for getting him through his many rough patches.
