At least one player has no issue with Jeff Hornacek’s firing.
Joakim Noah has been in exile from the Knicks since having a heated verbal altercation with the former coach on Jan. 25, but the exit of Hornacek could open the door for reconciliation between the former All-Star and the franchise.
Noah, who has played in a total of 53 games in two years with the Knicks, still has two years and $37.8 million remaining on the contract he was offered by Phil Jackson. This past season, Noah appeared in seven games, averaging 5.7 minutes off the bench.
