Joakim Noah, Knicks part ways after buyout deal

The last moment for Joakim Noah in a Knicks uniform came on January 23 last season when he and then head coach Jeff Hornacek exchanged angry words, a 4 minute and 31 second appearance on the court. Put into exiled limbo after that, Noah finally parted ways with the Knicks officially Saturday.

The Knicks released Noah, stretching the final year of his contract over three seasons through the 2020-21 season. The two sides have been negotiating a buyout of the $19 million of his 2019-20 salary remaining, but Noah and his representatives did not budge with no market for his services elsewhere around the NBA.
