Jimmer plays final minutes of Knicks blowout loss, hits a 3

The only Jimmer Time was Garbage Time for an increasingly trashy product at the Garden.

When Jimmer Fredette finally made his Knicks debut Monday there was a 24-point deficit and another defeat forged amid sloppy play and poor defending, ending mercifully at the hands of the Raptors, 122-95.

The chants for Fredette from an aggravated home crowd grew loud midway through the third quarter, but Kurt Rambis resisted until the final two minutes – when the hyped D-League call-up nailed his first 3-pointer and jacked up the leftovers in the stands.

Fredette couldn’t save the Knicks (24-34) from their 12th loss in their last 14 games, a stretch that has buried their playoff hopes.
