Jimmer Fredette put up more big numbers, but couldn’t get off a final shot and prevent the Westchester Knicks from falling for the first time this season in a 98-97 defeat to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at an 11 a.m. Westchester County Center D-League “School Day” matinee.
In his second D-League game, Fredette finished with 22 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and five steals, but also had four turnovers and botched the final play with a chance to be a hero.
Trailing by one point in the final seconds, Fredette dribbled into the lane and got bogged down in traffic, unable to find space for a shot.
