Jim Boeheim Defends Carmelo Anthony, Blasts the Triangle Offense

Earlier today, Myron Medcalf of ESPN reported that Jim Boeheim clarified that Carmelo Anthony wants to stay a member of the New York Knicks.

Boeheim was quick to defend Anthony’s struggle to win in the triangle offense when saying, “Triangle is the worst offense ever unless you have Michael or Kobe.”

Although he was elected to his 10th All-Star game this past season and averaged over 22 points, nearly six rebounds and almost three assists per game, the media has continuously blamed Anthony for New York’s struggles.

Prior to his departure from the Knicks, Phil Jackson was working tirelessly to convince the basketball world that Anthony has no place in New York, and should mutually agree on that with the Knicks.
