D‘Angelo Russell was the first point guard off the board in the 2015 NBA Draft, being selected second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. Russell has struggled to run the Lakers’ offense in the Summer League, collecting five turnovers in his first game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, following up the poor performance with a seven turnover game in his second game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Russell’s struggles continued against the New York Knicks Monday night. Russell finished the game with as much turnovers as points (8), while Knicks’ rookie point guard Jerian Grant completely out-shined the second overall pick.
