Jalen Brunson named 36th captain in Knicks history

Throughout his basketball career, Jalen Brunson has collected a lot of hardware and accolades. He was named a McDonald’s All-American and USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year in 2015 as a high schooler. Then at Villanova, where he won two national championships, he made the Big East All-Freshman Team in 2016, made the All-Big East First-Team two times, and won the Big East Player of the Year, Bob Cousy Award, Lute Olson Award, and National Player of the Year Award in 2018. And in his short but very successful and impactful two-season stint with the Knicks, he’s won multiple Player of the Week honors and made his first All-NBA team and All-Star game appearance last season.
