The last time Dwyane Wade graced the Garden floor, on Jan. 27, Carmelo Anthony sat baseline and a slew of Heat fans flooded the arena. They thought it might be his last game at the Garden.
As it turned out, with eighth-place Miami (37-38) in a life-and-death struggle for the playoffs, Wade is still playing and Saturday against the Knicks will mark his Garden farewell. The Heat would love to send Wade, 37, off to retirement with a playoff berth.
In 24 Garden games, Wade has averaged 22.8 points on 49.5 percent shooting, six rebounds and five assists with a 16-8 record.
