WASHINGTON — Is Carmelo Anthony trying to enhance his trade value to other teams with subliminal messages?
Anthony is on a potent surge, averaging 30 points in the past seven games. Better yet, he has shot 48 percent or better in six of the seven games. In his one bad shooting game during that run, an 8-of-26 night against Charlotte, he hit a game-sealing fadeaway that he made look too easy.
But an even stronger clue of Anthony perhaps thinking about the bigger picture outside the Knicks is him talking about his good health. Anthony had labored with a sore right shoulder since the West Coast trip in mid-December, when he missed a game against Golden State.
