Carmelo Anthony says his offseason began after the All-Star Game in late February.
Seven months later, Anthony, after major left-knee surgery to repair his torn patellar tendon following NBA’s festival at the Garden, is champing at the bit to show he’s fully recovered this week.
On the eve of training camp, the Knicks superstar, when asked if he’s 100 percent, declared: “I’m back. I’m there. I’m back. I feel like myself again. Mentally, physically, I feel great.’’
Anthony’s knee troubles began in the first week of last season, and he played through pain until shutting it down after the All-Star Game to undergo knee surgery.
