How Phil Jackson meddled his way to triangle triumph

ORLANDO – Jeff Hornacek acknowledged Knicks president Phil Jackson has influenced him into using more triangle offense – especially to enhance their defensive posture.

And Jackson has a supporter in Kristaps Porzingis, who thinks the club should’ve used the triangle a lot more at the beginning of the season instead of Hornacek’s combo attack.

“[Phil and I] talk about it a lot,’’ Hornacek said. “The different things in the triangle you can do, calling it out-of-timeout plays, some of the things Phil had said, some plays he used. We’re talking all the time. That came up in one of the discussions.
