There isn’t a better feeling in the world than returning home, even if your stay is so brief. Life on the road, especially for sports teams, can take a serious toll on one’s physical and mental physic. Since December 1st, the Westchester Knicks (17-12) had played 11 out of 16 games away from home, before finally returning for a quick match-up against the Delaware Blue Coats (10-14) on Saturday night. And in what was a back and forth affair, until midway through the fourth quarter, the W-Knicks pulled away and won 105-96.
Unlike with their previous struggles on the road or the last time they were at home facing the Capital City Go-Go, the W-Knicks played better basketball in a few areas.
