Kristaps Porzingis is rapidly entering Bill Bradley territory. Inexperienced as he may be, the general expectation is that he either can, will or needs to save the New York Knicks.
The good news: Bradley overcame the unjustifiably massive hype, turned things around after his tumultuous rookie season and helped the Knicks win a pair of championships.
Porzingis could experience similar struggles as a rookie—something entirely understandable—but Knicks fans want to see immediate results. They’re historically impatient and, having gone 42 years without a championship, it’s hard to blame them.
