NEW YORK -- The New York Knicks will be able to play in their regular-season home opener against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night -- thanks to a 7-foot caped crusader and his friends.
Knicks center Robin Lopez, adorned in full costume attire as comic book superhero “Thor,” and a group of kids from the Garden of Dreams foundation dressed as the rest of the “Avengers,” were able to retrieve the “missing” game ball for Thursday night’s matchup from the top of the Empire State Building on Friday afternoon.
